Corpo Sonoro: the transvestite studio

This essay was written with fragments of an artistic investigation that is taking its first steps as a doctoral research. With transfeminist thinking as a guide, a studio was created, where Free Improvisation practices are the tools to investigate sounds through the body and the cello. With the help of autoethnography and data theory, the experiences of this studio will be recorded in an artistic notebook, analyzed later, where the compilation of these sounds in a zibaldone is expected, and reflections on the creative processes and research in order to answer the question “What can a transvestite body create sonically?”. In this essay, I will present an overview of the research, dividing this article into four sections: Free Improvisation, transvestisms, and in the two final sections, the methodology and some reflections on the studio.
