Abstract

This research concerns how the quilombola issue occurs in Brazil, thus, it invokes the concept of “coloniality of power” proposed by Aníbal Quijano to think about how this logic of power imbued with Eurocentric aspects exclude the black and indigenous population from the condition of citizens, exerting influences in our socio-historical and political processes of the communities maroons.
