This article aims to analyze the performativities present in the outfits of the Stampers, understanding that there are symbolic elements in these costumes that reveal ways of being and living of the people of Pará. Carimbó is a manifestation of ancestral popular culture, which emerged from the cultural interbreeding of the different peoples that occupied the North of Brazil, notably the indigenous, African and Iberian blacks. Thus, a bibliographic study is proposed as a methodology, based on some texts on this theme. A comparative analysis of some images (photos) of carimbó clothing will also be carried out, based on the epistemological bias of Cultural Performances. It is argued, therefore, that these costumes, more than simple clothing used during the dance, reveal historical, social and cultural aspects of the people of Pará.
