POETICS OF ‘GOOD LIFE’: CARTOGRAPHY OF ONTOLOGICAL EXPERIMENTS IN AN INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY

This article is an excerpt from my ongoing doctoral research entitled: Intentional communities: poetics, memories and other space-cosmological culture as the presentification of possible futures, which aims to research/experience how some groups are materializing the possibility of other ways of live from intentional communities (ecovillages, ecovillages, cohousing, coliving, etc). Based on the experience of the empirical field in an intentional community, this experience report brings reflections on good life, how to co-create new utopias, decoloniality and other ways of doing politics, building counter-hegemonic narratives and practices in the face of conventional relationships in contemporary times. In a scenario of frayed relationships, stimulus to individualism, invisibility of the other and construction of walls, this field experience brings a gap and suspects the possibility of the presentification of societal alternatives and/or other ontological experiments.
