History and memories: uses of spaces in Manaus

Abstract

This paper proposes a reflection on the constitution of the city from the use and the various senses that the townspeople spaces acquires for different social groups that occupy them. Thinking specifically about the area called "Modern Manaus" which is located in the city of Manaus/AM (Manaus downtown), we seek to demonstrate, from the speech of different subjects, a heterogeneous city, configured from a multiplicity of experiences and learning which are related in various ways
