A funcionalidade dos governos democráticos brasileiros ao ajuste neoliberal

This study analyzes the role of the governments of Fernando Collor de Melo, Itamar Franco and Fernando Henrique Cardoso in the implementation of neoliberal economic policies in the 1990s in Brazil. The research uses two categories of analysis: democracy and neoliberalism. In this scenario, from a historical-statistical-descriptive study, it was verified a functional behavior of democratic governments for neoliberal practice, causing serious social consequences for a significant portion of the Brazilian population. Unemployment and labor informality were some of de main impacts of these policies.
