As observed throughout Brazil, the agrarian question in the municipality of Jaguaruana, in Ceará, is characterized by the continuous reproduction of the latifundio, and by the expansion of the concentration of land, water, income, and power, guiding the course of the use, possession, and ownership of land. In this context, the objective is to discuss the concentration of land through the omnipresence of the latifundio in Jaguaruana. For this, a bibliographic and quantitative survey was used, with analysis of data disseminated by the National Rural Registry System (SNCR) of the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform (INCRA). With the investigation, the complexity of the local agrarian question is evidenced, marked by the perpetuation of the latifundio, and the concentration of land.
