The aim of this paper is to highlight agroecology as a possibility of using agroecosystems, going beyond the one-dimensional-genetic, agronomic, edaphological view, including ecological, social and cultural dimensions. The current context points to different ways of (re) organizing space, as the exponential growth of the population after the Industrial Revolutions has led to increased consumption of energy and raw materials. Since then, this process has been promoting the devastation of natural resources, air pollution, ecological imbalances considered in many cases as severe, social and economic exclusion of a considerable portion of the population. These situations require a (re) thinking and a (re) doing regarding the Planet's bases of support. Dramatizing the situation is not intended, but rather to reflect on the lived moment. There is no alternative but to acknowledge the existence of nature's biological and physical limits, human frailty. Agroecology points to political attention, research incentives and technological innovations, as well as each individual's awareness of the success of this change and the effective sustainability of the resources we have taken from nature. The big challenge is to change the relationship between society and natural resources, which simultaneously requires the sustainable development and incorporation of agroecology in current agricultural models. On the other hand, it is necessary to defend ecological changes, that is, the search for practices that are sustainable in the agricultural sector permeated by similar changes in other areas of society that are interrelated, that is, the fundamental condition for the existence of a Sustainable agriculture and, by extension, a sustainable society, it is the existence of a critical human being, whose attitude towards nature is coexistence with it and not only its exploitation.
