This study aimed to investigate the constitution of authorship in two verb-visual statements of magazine covers on vaccination in Brazil. To this end, it took as its corpus the digital editions 2,643 of ISTOÉ and 2,756 of Veja. The theoretical approach was based on the concepts of authorship, Dialogism, expressive intonation, enunciation and verb-visuality. The methodology was qualitative, documentary and bibliographical. The results showed that, in both covers, the authorship is constituted in the alignment of producers to the current scientific discourse about vaccination, which leads, thus, the subject ISTOÉ to propose a vaccine against ignorance and the subject VEJA to name the movement antivaccine virus.
