Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate how the educational use of the mechanism chat cooperates with Writing classes in Portuguese Language, promoting the interaction and topicalization of the topics discussed. To this end, the theoretical framework of the paper is based on Araújo (2006, 2010), Bakhtin (2016), Marcuschi (2003) and Xavier (2002). Characterized as an exploratory research with qualitative character limited into a study case, it is used, as evidences, records of conversations from the educational chat, wich it was into a remote workshop taught to candidates of vestibular, it means, students that are about to take the entrance exam for college. After analyzing the evidences, we have concluded that, once the mechanism chat resemble a face-to-face communication, the educational chat cooperates to the Writing Portuguese Language teaching.
