Abstract

This paper aims at presenting the concept of N-Essence proposed by Santos (2007), followed by an example of its use in an analytical work of discursivity developed by Ferreira-Rosa (2017) about the literary discursivity of the novel “The naked hours” by Lygia Fagundes Telles (1989). The N-Essence mechanism reveals as a pertinent analytical-methodological device through which it is possible to construct hermeneutic and heuristic practices that excel by interfacial relations and theoretical and conceptual, especially with regard to elements, whether theoretical or analytical, because it was possible to delineate a dynamic and discursive process of how subjects are constituted in the literary universe of AHN. That process establishes from relations of mirroring, revealing tensions and interpellations, and relations of otherness, reflecting another self and a projection of a self, in which the subject forms, at the heart of their discursive inscriptions and interdiscursive, intertwined in the intradiscourse in relation to dialogic-polyphonic, were constituted.
