YOUTH AND HIP HOP FROM THE MARGIN TO THE RIGHT TO THE CITY: a reflection on youth practices of resignification of the urban from the Batalha do Setor movement

The present work is an excerpt from a research that analyzes the youth occupation of the city, with a spatial cut in Irca Vitória da Fonseca square in Catalão - GO. In this place, youth occupations take place, aimed at nighttime leisure and that give new meaning to the programmed use of it. One of the occupations carried out is Batalha do Setor, a hip hop culture movement that aims to spread the culture to peripheral youths. Therefore, the general objective of the work is to analyze the socio-spatial production of young people and the right to the city, for this the research is divided into phases, the first being the bibliographic survey in authors that work with the reproduction of the urban, public policies, leisure , youth, use and appropriation of the city, in: Carlos (2007, 2011, 2014 2017), Corrêa (1994, 2007, 2004), Costa (1998) Lefebvre (1991) and Harvey (2014), Souza (2008), Gonçalves (2010), Romera, Trevisan and Marcelino (2012), Oliveira (2010) and others. Also, in the documentary research, secondary sources were used, such as the Master Plan of Catalão, institutional sites, IBGE and others. In addition to a survey of information on the social networks of Batalha do Setor. The research results point to the need to support youth movements, as they carry with them the democratization potential of the city.
