CHRONOTOPE AND FOLKLORE: BAKHTIN´S CONTRIBUTION TO THE ANALYSIS OF THE ROMANCE AND FOLK TRADITIONS

Abstract

Through this text we intend to introduce the bakhtinian chronotope not only like a concept for structuring of time and space in the literary gender of romance, but we formulate an alternative way to understand the same concept, which instead of analyze it in this essence, theorize it in this subtraction, thinking in the folkloric time, or rather, how was the time and space in the period when there was not these categorizations, and what the fusion of this classification and of this division of time and space meant for the developing of the future human conceptions concerning to these elements, and for last, the way as the reflex of all this developoing occurred in the literature, more specifically in the romance.
