In this article, we intend to present how the Dialogical Theory of Discourse and the Theory of Social Representations supports the discussion on the representational construction of the professional identity of the (future) teacher. Dialogism, as a Bakhtinian assumption, is the gravitational center around which the elements of language orbit in the architectural whole. Our objective is to approach the identity representation of trainees in the Modern Languages course on teaching, from the intersection of the contributions of the Circle of Bakhtin and the Theory of Social Representations. The corpus, made up of verbal and imagery texts, drawn from the reports of the internship discipline, produced in the chronotope of the Covid-19 pandemic, raises reflections on the representational updating process triggered by textual / discursive production, revealing the responses) to representations of reference about the figure of the teacher socially reiterated. We believe that the understanding of the professional identity constitution is relevant for the satisfaction of educational objectives in the formation.
