Abstract

Following the paths created by Foucault about madness and the social exclusion, this essay intends to approach Arthur Bispo do Rosario’s works of art, with the intention to show that the artistic creation may serve as a gesture of sublimation in psychosis. Sublimation turns it possible to the subject to create social links. Lacanian psychoanalysis and pecheutian discourse analysis are used in order to complement the theory as well as the analysis.
