Human relationships are being modified by the use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies, and it is necessary to recognize the role of the school in training that allows the student to fully participate in the world. Thus, this study analyzes the extent to which Brazilian Portuguese language textbooks promote opportunities for digital literacy. The volume of the 9th year of the didactic collection most adopted in Elementary School II, Tecendo linguagens: Língua Portuguesa [Weaving Languages: Brazilian Portuguese Language], evaluated by the National Textbook Plan of 2020, was selected for the corpus. This qualitative methodology was based on concepts of digital literacy and discourse. The results allowed us to observe that, although printed literacy is considerably stressed, it is present in activities that guide reading in digital environments, bringing students closer to actions experienced by them in their daily lives.
