Abstract

In this article we analyze the discursive construction of homosexuality in the narrative plot of “Call me by your name”, directed by Lucas Guadagnino. Therefore, based on the French Discourse Analysis, establishing a relations between the authors, such as Foucault (2013), Albuquerque Junior (2010, 2014) and Figueira-Borges (2018 ). For the generation of the corpus, we created an analysis device based on the scenes that give us the opportunity of analyze the gay body discursivization. It is evident, in the development of the analysis, that the gay body emerges and is discursivized through touch, smell and look, which cause effects and slips of meaning, as well as opportunity to problematize issues related to identity (Hall, 2015) by Elio and Oliver. In the narrative plot of the film, since these subject-characters are constituted and delineated from a heteronormative perspective regarding the gay body in society.
