Abstract

This article aims at presenting the unfolding of Derridean thought from the perspective of feminist thinkers. It is in my interest to bring to the reader's knowledge albeit in a synthetic way the theoretical work of four exponents of feminist critique, namely Gayatri C. Spivak, Luce Irigaray, Hélène Cixous and Judith Butler. These intellectuals interpreted Jacques Derrida's major propositions bringing the theme of deconstruction to the areas of gender and sexuality studies. Such possibilities of reading have broadened the analysis and action of the women's movements, now multiples, understood outside the place of the normative instances and, consequently, free of binarism. From différance then is that we emerge.
