Abstract

This article aims to perform a critical-discursive analysis of women's double working day and how the representation of the (non) division of tasks between women and their partners occurs. To this end, women's theorists will be used as well as the Critical Discourse Analysis, and we will analyze the testimonies of couples in relation to the subject, reflecting on how the representation of this division of tasks occurs in the present day, based on Critical Discourse Analysis (FAIRCLOUGH, 1992/2001, 1999 and 2003) and the Theory of Evaluation (WHITE, 2005). We conclude by analyzing these statements that the reproduction of the patriarchal discourse is latent in excerpts, which shows that little or nothing has changed in relation to the division of tasks over time.
