Abstract

I start with the notion of the statement, as being of the order of the event, and with the methodological proposal of Michel Foucault to be able to talk about and to describe the facts of discourse that attest and authorize the affirmation, in an analysis, that the discourses of hate and the practices of intolerance have spread through different domains of the present moment of Brazilians, constituting the strategies of the devices of power to lead the population to a certain truth. I take the statements as strategic games of action and reaction, question and response, domination and avoidance, as well as struggle. In this sense, some discursive practices are considered, marked mainly by the current political moment, which has brought conservative values to the fore as a form of resistance to a supposed dangerous, undisciplined and perverted society, built by a government, supposed as left-wing government, that allowed the uncomfortable visualization and coexistence of the different, the non-standardized and the non-normalized in economic, social, ethnic, sexual and religious terms.
