ATIPICALITIES OF SPEECH OBJECTS
THE RE-CATEGORIZATION IN THE CONCEPT OF NORTHEASTERN BRAZILIANS NATURALIZED BY THE RACIST DISCOURSE IN BRAZIL

The theme of this work is circumscribed to the degree of typicality of the speech object, notably the concept of Northeastern Brazilians, a prototype in the campaign for president in 2014 with the objective of defining a membership area on a gradient scale, with the theoretical assumptions of Rosch (1978) and Murphy (2004), among others. As a result, it can be seen that are established, in this context, ad hoc categories, which reflect socio-cultural and political moments in Brazil, retrieved through semantic memory, leading us to a cultural view of this prototypical object, in this case, the categorization of Northeastern Brazilians in a “new” setting in a presidential campaign, with a distance from an “original” sense [+ typical], bringing us racism and the national origin senses [- typical].
