This article aims to promote the synthesis of the final data reached by the qualitative and quantitative analysis regarding the use and occupation of land in the area of the Córrego da Lagoa Hydrographic Basin and the APA inserted in it, located in the municipality of Ouvidor (GO), Midwest region of Brazil. The research meets the thought and need to provide support and basis for the need for improvements in the management and planning of environmental resources in the Municipality, evaluating a more restricted use of management, and land occupation. The route to support the analysis achieved, permeated by bibliographic surveys, relying on authors such as Ab'Sáber (2003) and Bertrand (2004) who presents us with the landscape as a dynamic combination of physical-environmental elements, between the natural potential and socioeconomic uses, among others of equal relevance for the construction of this study; documentary research using as references EMBRAPA, IBGE, Municipal Secretariat of Ouvidor, Municipality of Ouvidor (GO), among others; and help from Geoprocessing tools and physical-chemical analysis of water. In this way, it was possible to analyze that the area of the Basin is occupied with more than 85% by activities resulting from anthropization, from its different uses, and with only a small margin of native vegetation and a small layer of water against a large area dominated by livestock, soy and corn planting. In short, the Municipality lacks measures to recover or mitigate the pressure exerted by the advance of the various land uses on the basin. This action directly contaminated the local source, and could bring consequences to the lives of those who consume this water.
