THE STUDY OF THE REPRESENTATIONS LANDSCAPE IN GEOGRAPHY EDUCATION: possibilities for the inclusion of blind students in the classroom

This article was developed from the need to rethink the concept of landscape from an inclusive approach. For this, it has as main objective to analyze as Professor of Geography of Basic Education addresses the content landscape with the presence of blind students in the classroom. The specific objectives are: a) reflect on the Special and Inclusive Education in Brazil; b) discuss the teaching of Geography facing the landscape concept for students with Visual Impairment. This is a study from a literature with authors that talk about the proposed theme, as well as field research, with the application of a questionnaire with Geography teacher in order to meet their practice in the classroom. The results of the research showed that education landscape category, with the presence of the blind student, is challenging for teachers who need to resort to different methodologies to include it in the teaching-learning process about the geographical science. We conclude that the teacher when addressing the landscape category for students with visual impairment, search sharpen the other senses of the students in order to enhance their learning. This practice makes it possible to understand that teachers seek to include all students in the classroom, regardless of having or not a disability.
