The research work discusses a colonization of Rondônia that occurred from 1960, with settlement projects promoted by the federal government that occupy the surroundings of the BR-364 highway, making this region an investment stage with territorial public policies linked to the occupation of the demographic state and solving the problem of exceeding the country involved the expropriation of rural workers through the introduction of soy culture and agricultural mechanization. The state passes thousands of settlers from all over the country, causing an increase in migrants, the greater the amount of plots available for occupation. Settlements were run by the government and others run by the peasants themselves, invading areas and marking lots. With their plots, the peasants convert a forest into areas of agricultural production for consumption and trade. A bibliographic survey was carried out on the various materials available, such as articles, theses, magazines, books, among others, about a colonization of Rondônia with an exploratory and qualitative approach.
