The main objective of this article is to understand how the space production process has been taking place in the non-metropolitan Urban Agglomeration of Araçatuba-Birigui. The main focus of the work is on the road axes that connect the cities of Araçatuba and Birigui. It is proposed to analyze how space has been produced in these locations over time. The concepts of urban agglomeration and spatial interactions are briefly addressed and, subsequently, issues related to the incorporating capital and the production of space on the road axes. From the identification and characterization of the enterprises, it appears that the production of space on the highway axes has intensified since the 1990s, with emphasis on the number of commercial establishments and services and the strength of the real estate market, through the significant presence of closed residential spaces.
